Satisfaction Survey
Every 3 years the Catholic Education: Diocese of Rockhampton conducts satisfaction surveys for schools. These surveys form part of our school improvement data and assist us to officially ‘check in’ with our stakeholders to monitor how things are going. St Mary’s survey will be open from 16th - 27th May. Parents, staff and Year 4-6 students have been sent a link to the survey, and I invite everyone to submit a response. Please check your email inbox and let the office know if you need assistance.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month - May 2022
On Tuesday May 24 students in years 3-6 will watch a free World Class BMX show and music performance for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This will take place on the school oval. Please see below for further information…
Reconcile Life Pty Ltd offer the school community, a FREE World Class BMX show and music performance for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, May 2022. Most people are not aware that our communities have some of the highest rates of Domestic & Family violence in Queensland. Since 2018, Reconcile Life has been delivering behavioural change programs, seminars, workshops and camps to those most at risk in our communities. Our facilitators, mentors and culturally appropriate programs have had positive impact on the lives of many of those families. One of our programs which began in November of 2020, along with BMX show sensations, JC Action Sports, was our Healthy Youth Relationships Presentation and the feedback had been outstanding! You can watch the highlights here: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=3429067217128532
Our aim with the "Good Ways Campaign" is to share with the school kids the importance of identifying Domestic and Family Violence among family, friends and peers. We want to help equip them with useful tools to not only recognise but to take action and counteract it where ever they see it. To be confident in actively and safely seeking help for themselves or those around them who may be experiencing DV. We acknowledge that this topic can be very difficult to talk about, however, we hope that that by helping start important conversations about family safety in an engaging and entertaining way, we can help students work towards creating a better and safer community together.
