St Mary's Battlers - 14th June
The Battlers were plagued by illness for the semi final game, so our bench was very depleted. We ended up going down to West Mackay State School 32-10 in a hard fought, gutsy game by the players.
Nev Lucas played an outstanding game with a rib injury and Cooper Ricciardi took a blow to the neck but went back on in the second half to ensure we had a full 13 on the field. Thank you and well done to our non Challenge Cup players who again stepped up to wear the mighty Battlers jersey.
Although the end of our John Paap season, Challenge Cup is just around the corner and we look forward to our final training session before the carnival on Monday 10th July from 3:15-4:15pm at Abbott Park fields.

Junior Athletics Carnival
Well done to the Prep – Year 2 students who participated in the St Mary’s Junior Athletics Carnival last Thursday. It was a fantastic morning where all students were able to showcase their amazing running, throwing and jumping skills.
Thank you to all families that came to support the students throughout the morning.
MJR Showcase
Our inaugural MJR Showcase was held last Friday afternoon in our school hall. This showcase celebrated the many activities each MJR group participated in this term.
Each week, students explored the Catholic Social Teachings which were made evident in the interactive and real-world activities. Our students were joined at the showcase by over 130 parent and special guests, including Mayor Greg Williamson and Sr Denise Hinton.
Special thanks to our APRE, Mrs Leotta, for coordinating this wonderful event.
